Daniel Armitage
Daniel is an integrative psychotherapist working with adults
I offer individual therapy for adults, both online and in person. My approach is integrative and grounded in person-centred principles, meaning I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. I aim to offer a safe space where you can feel genuinely heard and accepted. From this secure foundation, it often becomes possible to reflect more openly on your experiences, leading to greater awareness, self-understanding, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, meaning I draw from a range of approaches including Person-Centred Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. This allows me to work flexibly, depending on what feels most helpful for you. I hold the view that you are the expert in your own life and have the capacity for growth, and I aim to provide a calm, supportive space where you can explore whatever feels important, at your own pace.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in frontline safeguarding roles, including several years supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. These experiences continue to inform my belief in the resilience and inner strength people hold, even during difficult times.
I currently offer sessions online and in person in Peckham, throughout the day on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. If you’d like to, you’re welcome to get in touch to arrange a free 20-minute introductory call. This offers a chance for you to get a sense of how it feels to speak with me, and to ask any questions you may have.
